With help from a bit of light and glass, I create photographs of people. I am sensitive to the idea that I am being asked to capture a soul. To find the essence of a person and make it hold still for all time. When it works, it's magic: the intersection of technology and poetry. But behind every one of my photographs is a process much less magical. A process that involves careful planning and discussion between our team and the client. We brainstorm. We give and take. We balance technical considerations with logistics. We push. We listen and most importantly, we have fun! In the end, we believe that serendipity is the result of meticulous attention to detail. There is no need to be reminded that we are so lucky to be creating photographs instead of widgets. So we take great joy in the process!
